Weddings at Wave Street Studios
Wave Street Studios is a hidden gem on the Recreation Trail above historic Cannery Row, just steps from McAbee Beach and the Monterey Bay Aquarium. This eco-modern venue offers a broadcast studio, concert hall, and private event space for up to 150 guests. With a 1,000 sq. ft. sprung dance floor, studio sound system, and live-streaming capabilities, it's perfect for weddings, receptions, meetings, and celebrations. Designed for all-weather use, the space features a waterfall, heated bench, succulent gardens, granite rock walls, and copper-clad doors. Late-night music and dancing are welcome, as are outside vendors. A private historic house on-site adds to its unique charm, making Wave Street Studios an unforgettable destination for wedding planners, couples and locals alike.

Seamless Event Set-up & Support
Wave Street Studios provides a hassle-free experience with setup, transitions, and clean-up handled by our dedicated staff. From arranging tables and chairs to managing rentals and linens, we ensure every detail is in place. Enjoy your event while we take care of the logistics, so you can focus on making memories.
Generous Access to Studio
Studio access from 2 PM to 4 PM the day before for ceremony rehearsal, 9 AM to midnight the day of the event, and 9 AM to noon the following day for pickup of any items left overnight (food, drinks, decorations, gifts, etc.).
Complimentary Furniture & Custom Floor Plans
Enjoy complimentary use of various-sized tables, chairs, patio heaters, string lights, freezer, refrigerator and a 6' metal ring for decoration. Studio owner/designer Rhett Allen Smith collaborates with clients to create personalized floor plans, optimizing event spaces with our included furnishings.
Set-up, Transitions & Clean-up
Studio staff will set up all included furnishings by 3 PM per your custom floor plan. During the event, we’ll handle all transitions, adjusting furniture as needed. Our team manages clean-up, but clients or their vendors are responsible for returning any rented items to their original containers for next-day pickup.
Facilitate Rentals
Studio staff will receive and set up any rented furniture and linens by 3 PM on event day. Decor arrangements (flatware, centerpieces, etc.) are the client's or vendor's responsibility. Staff will facilitate returns for additional rentals the following day from 9 AM to noon.
Event Maintenance
Studio staff will maintain and restock four public restrooms and manage trash, recycling, and compost throughout your event.
Bar & Drink Service
Packages include alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, glassware, bartender, back bar and busing staff starting at $30 per person.
Parking
Guests can stay at nearby hotels like The Clement Intercontinental or the Wave Street Inn for easy walking access. Several lots and a public garage within a block cost around $20/day, or guests can find free all-day parking about 1/3 mile away towards Pacific Grove, past Hopkins Marine Station.
State-of-the-Art AV & Sound
Enjoy a 16-speaker sound system, wireless handheld mic, PA system, 65" smart TV, and a Yamaha C-7 Grand Piano. Use our commercial-free Spotify or your own music service for seamless background music. Optional add-on: professional video recording & live streaming.
Event Insurance
Event insurance is included for your peace of mind. Clients are responsible for arranging their own security if desired.

Bridal Ready Room & Kitchen Use: $1,000 (10AM - 10PM). The historic Quock Mui House is available for your bridal party, extra space, and caterer prep. Ideal for getting ready on your big day. For kitchen/food prep use only, it's available at $150 per hour (minimum 3 hours). [Click here for photos]

Terms:

Deposit: $1500 non-refundable deposit required to reserve your date.

Payment Schedule: 50% of the total contract is due 90 days before event date; the remaining balance is due 30 days before.

Non-Refundable: All payments are non-refundable, but clients may reschedule within a 12 months and adjust the event type to suit their needs.
